Re: help with Okami
I'm glad I kept my PS2 copy - game is brilliant from beginning to the very end. The combat can be incredibly fierce at times, giving the likes of GoW and DMC a run for their money.
Re: help with Okami
I quit playing the game
its too frustrating,
the motion doesnt work well, and when u miss u have to start all over again, and each time u start over again u have to go through a few talk passages and some video like the old man doing his dance....I am playing metal gear solid now and I am very happy.
Sorry Okami failed to meet my expectation

I'm not a huge fan of Wii ports. Twilight Princess was just the GC version but with a screw up in which hand Link actually favors making the whole game a bizarre backwards/reversed version of what it's actually supposed to be. Okami is just the PS 2 version with silly, tacked on motion controls and an abbreviated ending and RE 4 is the GC version made way too easy(and some would argue it was too easy to begin with)by adding motion controls that the game was not originally designed for.xan_racketBOY_fan wrote:Should have played on PS2, screw those damn waggle controls. If it's on the Wii, and it's not original content(or a cool remake like that Klonoa game), I won't even give it the time of day

Re: help with Okami
I'm with this guy, mostly. Mainly just because waggling sucks in general. Screw Wii Twilight Princess. Okami on PS2 is AWESOME... AWESOME. But as far as RE 4 goes I dunno... I picked up the PS2 version initially and couldn't really enjoy anything about it, however the Wii version I find enjoyable. The only downside to it is that it isn't "Zapper compatible" and I think if it were that would be extra sweet.Gamerforlife wrote:xan_racketBOY_fan wrote:The combat can be incredibly fierce at times, giving the likes of GoW and DMC a run for their money.![]()

But back to Okami(!)... definitely don't deny yourself the awesomeness of it, pick up the PS 2 version. And not to be shamelessly plugging my FS thread or anything, but I have a complete copy of it (Greatest Hits) going for 15. I only mention that because it could be hard to come by otherwise. If, IF you find one at Gamestop it'll be something like 20 bucks. It's a great game.
They abbreviated the ending on the Wii version?! ...bastards

Re: help with Okami
I dont own a ps2, never did
I cam to peace with the idea that there are more good games out there than I ever can play, plus I am trying to make space for real life activities. Now I only play games that I REALLY want to experience, I dont look at game ratings any more to see what is good. There is a lot of good out there, and games that were fun back in 1995 are still fun today and games fun today will still be fun in 2025...it just accumulates and accumulates so I am missing on ton of good games like Alan Wake, LA Noir, Red Dead Redemption, GTA4...and obviously Okami which I gave it a chance on the system I have. Sorry to say it was one of the games I was looking forward to the most

Shame too, it's one of the greatest credits sequences of any game ever and accomplishes more than just telling you who made the game. It's a significant part of the game's ending. For the Wii version to not have it is not only inexcusable, but just makes the game incompletealienjesus wrote:They removed the credits. According to Hideki Kamiya the credit sequence was, "The emoi(thoughts, emotions, and messages) of everyone who worked on the project, put together in a moment of bliss held out just for those who completed the journey. It was a special staff roll for a special moment. And now it is gone. All of it. ...It's incredibly disappointing and sad."
