Jr may have been surprised but tweeting about he and his wife being upset is just an attempt to get Laurenitis over as a heel.

Heel authority figures are so passe though. HHH - if he acted as a real face and you know, went against heels (not Punk) - had a refresher take on it that they botched horribly.

So in a bit of symmetry, I'm going to head down to Bound for Glory on Sunday. I got into wrestling relatively late (was 18) after my buddy had a party for Starrcade '97. Yes, THAT Starrcade. I was hooked and it just happened to be during one of the hottest periods ever (was a great age for it too).

So Sunday, it's Hogan/Sting - this time in person. Which should be cool.

I burst out laughing hearing the guys on the Smart Wrestling Fan podcast read an e-mail where the guy says this is his Royal Rumble prediction:

"Triple H entering at # 1 eliminating 39 guys one at a time and using the time between entrances on the mic to bury the guy he just eliminated."

Then the hosts did funny Triple H impersonations. "This guy really sucks. I was talking to him in catering before and he eats salad like a girl. This guy sucks because he wrestles like a broomstick"

What's sad though is that I can ACTUALLY SEE THIS HAPPENING!!! :(

Greatest build up of a storyline, EVER. And then, the biggest letdown when the match actually happened, lol. WCW totally botched what could have been one of the greatest moments in wrestling. Still, I have a TON of nostalgia for that period in wrestling, especially WCW. Nonetheless, Hogan is a cliche of himself anymore and he himself knows he's no good in the ring anymore. Sting might still be good in the ring, but his new "Joker" character is just retarded. This has to be the worst main-event ever for Bound For Glory, which is supposed to be TNA's Wrestlemania.

Whoever is responsible for the match card seems to have forgotten there are more than just four divas in the WWE roster...

In other news, Orton and Sheamus were on fire tonight; awesome performances!

At least Beth squashed that no talent bimbo again, but yeah the divas division is shit. I miss my gorgeous Leyla. She was entertaining. I laughed at Booker T saying that Kelly Kelly rarely makes a mistake in her matches. Really? You mean the botch queen? God, stop trying to get this girl over. Make her a ring announcer or something, where she can properly utilize the only talent she has, which is being a pretty face. Although, I'd rather have a night with TNA's announcer Christy Hemme than that skinny, blond bimbo Kelly Kelly. Christy Hemme is smoking hot. Ahem, anyway

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Teddy Long meant by bang up, shoot'em up tag team match or whatever it was he said tonight

So Smackdown continues to be better than Raw, though I hate to say that this past Raw has kind of soured me on the whole WWE product and I actually skipped out halfway through Smackdown to watch Supernatural and then the latest episode of Nikita that I recorded. That show is fucking awesome by the way. I'll probably catch up on what I missed this weekend though. I really feel like the WWE has KILLED all the enthusiasm they built up since Punk's memorable shoot promo on that Raw that built up the Money in the Bank storyline. It feels like the company is just going back to the old status quo

For those who haven't watched, spoiler alert!

I agree. I download the shows an' watch them while I work; this time around I was actually skipping through matches and whole segments just to see if my predictions came true. Almost every match tonight ended in a disqualification or heel victory due to interference. Sheamus' match gets sabotaged by Christian, Orton's title shot spoiled by Rhodes... At least the Divas match ended in a decisive pinfall.
