Re: I want to know how to s.video mod a sega cdx
You'll have to find out what kind of video encoder the CDX uses. Either Google for it (search for "cdx video encoder" or "cdx s-video mod") or open the CDX up and see if you can find it yourself. It will probably be close to AV plug. Use a multimeter to trace composite or RGB back from the multi AV port until you hit an IC. That IC is probably gonna be the encoder. Google the model number on the top of the IC. If it starts with CXA or MB, then you're in luck. If it's some thing else, you'll have to Google it to see if it outputs S-Video.
If the video encoder does not output S-Video, your best option would probably be to do it externally since there's not a lot of room inside the CDX. You can take the RGB signal from the multi AV out and convert it to S-Video.
PS - If English isn't your first language, that's cool. Otherwise, would you mind stepping up your use of punctuation and overall sentence structure? Most people wont even bother replying if your posts are poorly written.
