Heck, you PM me asking questions on how to add a second bios chip to your Dreamcast and you don't even know that a resistor is a resistor and that the direction of the resistor doesn't matter. Seriously...
Agree, based on the other Threads I don't know if RazorX is doing the mod or just trying to make conversation. But if actually doing a mod or repair maybe first learn a little more by researching manuals and online, instead of asking help for every step of a repair.

@ RazorX - Its great you are looking into modding but maybe be more realistic at times? A VGA cable or VGA box is not that expensive. there are some right here on Racketboy for sale. Most wouldn't even attempt to build one when they are readily available. Internal VGA is pointless considering it still has to be hooked up to a monitor.

Try a straight connection from AV points on the motherboard to the VGA socket. Don't use the VGA Board.
This is how I have mine set up, with no problem.

Chances are your monitor does not support 640 x 480 @ 60Hz.

If you have the chance to test the console on some other monitors, try that.

And google 'Dreamcast VGA out of range'. There's a lot of people with this problem.

Read the suggested links. I'm not going to do it for you...

And don't use the word chip for parts that are not chips.
