When the sidequests are clearly meant to add to the game, I simply CAN'T finish a game without doing them. This is often true of rpg games like Final Fantasy and Mass Effect

Sandbox games though tend to have a lot of pointless side quests that are just there to add playtime and lots of games today have collectibles just to have collectibles

This is way too subjective, very dependable on the game for me.

I'm an obsessive completionist when it comes to side quests, and that is a problem when I play WRPGs that have 1% story, 99% sidequests.

It totally depends on the game. For example, in Morrowind and Oblivion I often pick up side quests. But in Spider-Man 2, they got old real fast.

After beating Megaman Legends 1 like 4-5 times, I decided I finally wanted to do the side quests..lol!!

as for MegaMan Legends 2, I really don't remember any side quests.

There are plenty of sidequests in Legends 2, but they're not as awesome as the ones in the first. There are some notable ones though, like the 100 question quiz.

I remember the 100 questions quiz, what happened when you answered them all correct, you get something cool?
