That's gonna be a shitstorm, and rightfully so.
It's such a dick move in the past and in modern times when we get a few games of a series, or random ones, but not all of them.

I just beat Aliens and it was disappointing. The game plays and looks great but its pretty bare bones. I suppose it is to be expected with a movie licence game, but I had high hopes for it since Wayforward developed it.Anyway I upgraded all the weapons and found every character except one in around five hours... There is no "replay/extended play" like in the metroid series. Hell there isn't even a grade or even a time total at the end. All you were treated to was a hilarious douche rock song.
Pass this one guys or at least wait until its dirt cheap.

Hmm, I'll have to hear other opinions or check out some videos. Honestly pretty much every single handheld Castlevania game I could 100% in like 3-4 hours, but that didn't bother me much since I loved them to death. Same with the 2D Metroid's or Shadow Complex, these games generally seem really short to me but I just love the formula.

So far it's fun. It's definitely no Metroid or Castlevania, but it's enjoyable. The party system is reminisent of TMNT on the NES; the four people represent your lives. You can switch between members at save points, instead of any time, but if you die your next guy spawns right where you died. And there are other marines to pick up if you're running less than 4 people.

I'd just like to say I was a little too harsh in my first assessment. Playing through the game again has put some more perspective on the game. This game is basically what should have been released in the 90's by acclaim. The game is very reminiscent of Judge Dredd and Stargate. I liked those games so that is a good thing. The production value is of course better than those games.
I'd like to think of Aliens:Infestation as an homage to the early 90's run-n-gun movie licensed games. The game feels like a lost title from past era much like Contra 4. Yes, I know I went from being dismissive to liking the game but the lack of grading or time completion still bugs me.

I played a demo of Sonic Generations recently and came to the conclusion that as a whole Sega is, in fact, batshit insane.

I don't know if this will bother anyone else as much as it did me, but I noticed that while playing as classic Sonic, the game did not act like a Sega Genesis Sonic game at all. Jumping midway through a loop, which I normally do in every 2D Sonic (except Sonic 1), does not result in you getting a speed boost at the bottom. You just fall and stop. Also, you cannot jump while running up a wall. I pressed A repeatedly while running down a vertical section, and I just kept running down the wall. Every other Sonic game gives you complete control over Sonic, but not this one. You know, the one that supposedly emulates the old ones just like how we remember. Except that it doesn't at all. Sonic Genesis feels more genuine than Generations does, and I'm dead serious when I say that.
But hey, at least the music is good, and I can listen to that for free.

Just because it doesn't perfectly replicate the Genesis games doesn't mean it can't be fun. It appears to hold a lot of what made the original Sonic's great.
