Re: Need help sliding ps2 tray back into place.
I always have that same problem when I open my PS2 fat up as well. I've never figured out the exact way to fix it; I just keep fiddling with it until it works right.

Damn, well, I've tried numerous times and couldn't get it - need a tutorial or something. All of the disassembly guides skim over that part or don't explain it in-depth. "Slide it back on" - yeah, how?
Re: Need help sliding ps2 tray back into place.
EDIT: A mod can close this. What I needed to do was align a white protrusion to the underside of the tray.

Re: SOLVED: Delete please.
Why did you feel the need to change the subject to "... Delete please" and the original post? You should have just left it alone and just put "SOLVED" in the subject line and in the original post, you could have said "EDIT: Solved the issue, see solution in this thread".

@ Lodestar - Sent you a PM
I noticed you renamed your Title to: SOLVED: Delete please. This has no meaning when one looks of all the thread title posts.
Maybe a better descriptive name such as: PS2 Drive Tray Repair
Maybe throw a couple of pics in and outline the full repair in the OP, then a real useful guide for others.

Re: SOLVED: Delete please.
Because I have two other threads related to PS2 drive replacement and I wanted them deleted in favor of the other one.gtmtnbiker wrote:Why did you feel the need to change the subject to "...
