Just use perfboard with stripes, not individual holes. Sure, you can do it without the perfboard, or with perfboard with individual holes, but it'll be messy and it's more likely you will fuck something up...
thanks im gonna buy a breadboard for testing anyway so it will be easy to figure out the best way to do it, also can you tell me were the solder points are on the bottom of the dreamcast controller board is because the original 3 solder points were the fan connects to seem to be damaged the fan just wont come on so i need to know were to solder the fan wires to instead of the 3 pin holes please..
