If you mean Recca, see here.fastbilly1 wrote:Thanks Hobie, thats the NES cart I want the most.
Just to expand, the carts from either the same game in another language, or a game that uses similar chips is used. The cart will need the right kind of memory mapper and if it is an RPG it will have to have the save circuitry and battery on it. So yes, the original board has its program chips pulled off and replaced by hand. The label is removed from the shell as well most of the time. There is someone making NES cart shells though and of course people are trying to work on making new circuit boards so that things don't have to be cannibalized. Although taking a Japanese copy of an RPG and converting it into a fan translated English version is a bit more ethical as far as things go.Soldier Blue wrote:Can people actually make a physical cart with a mold or something? Or are they actually just using existing carts like from a cheap sports game or Super Mario world and ripping the labels off?
If you look at Nesreproductions you can click on the circuit boards next to the available games and it will tell you what donor games are suitable. I sent a Jurassic Park cart in for my Recca.
