TVs on buses playing gaming related videos

Post by Revan »

Here in Los Angeles, most of our public buses have TVs constantly playing random stuff, and occationally, will have gaming related mini-shows. Among all of the crap like the quizes and elevator-music videos, they will play stuff like a 10 minute Super Mario show, or today, a short documentary on IGN.

Does public transit in any of your guy's areas do this?

I've never seen a tv on a bus, not in Memphis, not in San Francisco, not in Chicago, not in New York...

They probably have to to make up the revenue lost from installing all those tvs in the first place.

I remember seeing something like this in a Finnish hamburger chain, where they play six mintutes of content, and then twenty of commercials. It was like that television channel from the Rocky & Bullwinkle move.

Public transit? In my city, riding your bike gets you there faster than public transit.

My public transportation only stops in the "bad" neighborhoods, for people who can't afford a car. So there's no way they'd put a TV on those things, I doubt they have the budget, and someone would steal them.

I once went on a bus that played hardcore pornography while taking you to a remote location for a rave in a ski resort town in the mountains of Utah. They didn't have a Super Mario Bros special.

That sounds awesome. More buses need hardcore porn.
