Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011, Sept 30- Oct 2

Forgot to let everyone know that Wedoca is heading to ATL to help out the game room at Anime Wekend Atlanta by bringing out cabs. We got about 14 cabs and a slew of games. I cannot speak for the console game room side, since I do not run it but I know the arcade area will rock. Here is a rough idea of what we got:

I know some of the RB locals will be working the dealers room, as well as Mad-Gear. Be on the look out for me and my crew, since I prolly was too drunk last time I met you to remember yer face(not that I won't be that way this weekend!).

Fixed. I saw the AWA posts in the Wrestling threads and wondered about that. No, this is a bunch of Japan cartoon fanboys running around for three days in the burb's of ATL.

Sadly I wont be there this year. They burned me last year (after being a staffer for six years they decided they didnt need my help anymore - they threatened to have hotel security escort me from the building) and so I am spending the weekend working on my car.

I hear ya, Wedoca got the shaft a few years ago over the game room at AWA. But this time they paid upfront and we're just doing cabs. (Personally, I do not aprove of AWA console game room layout/setup, but it's not my con). This a test con for the WDC crew to see if we want to expand out "serviceable territory". Animazement and MAGFest are are anchors, and if we just stick to two events a year, that is fine with us.

I'll still try to make it to other game cons (Midwest Classic, Too Many, etc) but only as an attendee and maybe some minor support with the Turbofest.

We will talk next year if you want to do Momocon. We will be in the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta (easy load in and food choices) and we will gladly pay up front.

Does this mean Wedoca will be bringing cabs to the upcoming MAGfest X? I want to start planning my trip down there soon, but honestly I wouldn't be going if you guys aren't working the con...

I'll be there! Just found out today that I will have Friday and Saturday off.

Sucks that they only JUST NOW approved those days off, seeing as I requested them several months ago and now have just a couple of days to book a hotel room, but I'm not going to let this rare opportunity go to waste. Will be the first Saturday I have off since June.
