Another consideration
Virtual console vs a N64 cart or GC disc that can be played years from now.

...but if you're just asking between Wii and Gamecube releases, well... I think the wii version of OOT is more or less identical to the gamecube one. Majora's Mask on the gamecube had a lot of slowdown and was prone to crashing, I don't know if the VC version fixes these problems or not.
I am pretty sure the crashing issues in MM on the Gamecube can be solved by turning off the rumble feature.
Is that so? I've personally never ran into the crashes so I'm just kinda going off of what everyone else has said, but I know I certainly ran into a TON of slowdown.
The European release doesn't have any problems with crashing. I would speculate that the reason for this was possibly that rumble can't be used.

Sorry, I don't quite get what you're getting at... VC is fine as long as your Wii is. N64 is fine as long as the system is and the cart battery is (throw in controller sticks too). The GC in the same boat.
So~~~ :?
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

There's also price considerations. Having done absolutely no research, I would say the VC is the cheapest option. I believe the GC combo discs are sort of rare and sought after, idk I got mine when they came out. The carts also hold their value I believe.
