Thanks, does any else agree with this? Also what is a fair price for a Master system.
To me, the overall cost of either is relatively inconsequential once you factor in games as well. It's not like you're contemplating an AES or a Duo.

System itself is maybe $20-30, based on eBay. Maybe more if it has a lot of accessories. When I bought mine I got two consoles, six games, and some mixed cables/accessories for about $60.

I'd agree a SMS is probably worth having over a 32X, but personally, I think both are so cheap that it'd be more trouble than it's worth to sell/trade.

I would say yes because I am biased. I have owned my Master System since 1986.

Okay, so most people are saying it would be more worth it to own a Sega Master system. Not to mention it is the last console I need before I will own all Sega consoles. The place I bought my Sega 32X from said they can take it back for store credit they would just take 5 bucks off from what I paid plus a dollar per game so about 10 dollars off so I would be 7 short for the Master system plus if I bought a game or two. I will have to think about it some. Could just wait 20 days until my birthday but not sure if they would still have it by then. They do not get either in very often.

Historically, there has never been a time where I sold/traded in games/hardware and not regretted it. Just save up and buy the master system too. Unless you just really don't like your 32X.

I am guessing it is worth keeping a TurboGrafx-16 over the master system? I have a good size collection for the TurboGrafx though I do like the look of the master system more, the Turbo just looks plain and cheaply built to me. A local vintage game store said the lot is worth 160 but would only give me 80 cash for it.

Games man, not the looks! If you really can't or won't keep both, research the games you'd rather be playing.

I thought there was rules against trolling? 'Dems fightn words.

All this SMS talk got me in the mood for some ole Master System. Now, granted it was EMU and a lot of GG, European-Brazil, import titles were there so I did not get a true feel for the US released games. There are some turds to be sure(Ninja), but some games I never player, kept my interest. I still stand my fav picks: R-type, Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, Double Dragon. But I'll have to get a copy of Rampage now, and be on the lookout for a Power Stike. That Sagaia was quite impressive, along with Strider (but Strider has ass controls)..Putt and Putter had some game in there also.

I think this weekend I need to just go through them all and make a list of "Games worth owning".

(I have PBC for my CDX, so it's not all EMU)
