Electroplankton

Post by demizz30 »

Electroplankton for DS was one of the first wave releases for the system. It is not exactly a game, it is more like an interactive music experience.

Since it was not sent to retailers in big quantities, there cannot be found easily in the wild. Is this the story for both the US and PAL version?

Is there anyone else that has made research about the Electroplankton thing?

Ebaying shows big fluctuations in terms of sold price. I happen to be owner of one of those and I have access to a few more from a retail shop, but I am not really sure if it is worth the price.

I wouldn't bother unless they were really really cheap...

The PAL version is cheaper and more common. It was released in stores here. It's still not amazingly common or anything, I imagine it sold poorly, but I got mine 2nd hand for £5 a few years ago. Prices are a little higher now I think.

The Buy it Now prices on ebay are really really high, but it seems like the auctions finish pretty cheap.

I owned it when it released but I dont think it is worth the price unless you can get it for cheap.

This is my guess too. It cant be that this game was found new for sale in a small dvd rental store, and he has few more for 9,99 euros.

The problem is that these are not sealed (shrinkwrapped).

Yeah, the game is more of a trinket. How much is the US version worth? I remember I could only get it at the Nintendo Store

I love electroplankton!
As far as I know, the EU and JP version are much more common than the NA one. In fact, when I was shopping around for my copy a few years ago, I remember seeing the complete, new in box w/headphones JP version often selling for cheaper than a used NA copy.

Yeah. I think my brother had to get it from there too. I think the game has lost a lot of value in recent years since they released the individual music things/levels/tools on the DSi Ware shop.
