I mean, it's 2011. Is it really that hard for dev's to add fully customizable controls into every game - that way nobody could ever complain about awkward or shitty preset controls?
The reason I bring this up now is because I just read some reviews on Resident Evil 4 HD and some critics have bashed the newly swapped button commands for Run and AIM/Shoot. At the same time, I remember RE4 on the PS2 and Wii only having one or two control options, both of which didn't make much sense to me - such as the trigger button on the Wiimote NOT being your gun trigger in the game, but rather the A button on top
But yeah, there are countless other games I could think of that had lousy default controls that couldn't be changed, too. All the EA sports titles are another example. Devil May Cry on PS2 is another, etc...
