I'm curious - for those NES games in boxes , are the original Mario Bros and Duck Hunt stand-alones worth a good bit?
Depends on your definition of "good bit"

They are more valuable than the combo game. I've seen duck hunt on ebay around 15-25 for most BIN prices. Mario is a bit more valuable. see it in the 25-40 range. But valuae is only what someone is going to pay you for it. I always value my games on the lesser end of what I see it out there for and then am usually not dissapointed when I sell them. (Of course I keep far too many games for myself, and never end up selling quite as much as I plan)

I got a Gameboy Pocket and Pokemon Silver for $6.50 total from my favorite thrift shop. Now that I'm back to school I miss all the good morning stuff though. Evidently there was a game gear floating around the store, but I never found it...

Grabbed this today. It appeared to be a gold Nintendo of America Pokemon GBA at first glance, but it doesn't have the pokemon on the label. they may have been worn off or the screen replaced, but for $17 my curiosity got the best of me.

A good day today after a java exploit took out my tower yesterday. :?

Responded to a craigslist ad selling playstation and playstation 2 games. Figured i'd send an email requesting a list and initial read through I'm seeing sports games and lame titles. Did a second read of the full list and I just about crapped my pants. FF7, Suikoden 1 & 2, Street Fighter Collection, and more. PS1 games at $3 each or 5 for $10. I called them up, confirmed the games were still there and rushed out the door.

Everything was pretty much complete. Unfortunately Suikoden 2, Resident Evil, and Soul Calibur discs were missing. FF7 missing disc 1. I took the empty cases and stray manuals anyways.

Total paid: $30

Making my way to bestbuy to get a external hard drive to back up my stuff I stop at a small thrift store i've had some good luck with. Rolled in and noticed they had some new stuff, some Atari Jaguar games but priced up high, noticed a Boxed Original Gameboy. Priced at about $25 they were willing to go down to all I had in my pocket $18. Gameboy is mint, very minor scratches on the screen, serial number matches the box.

Hit up another thrift store on the way home (those ones where buyers get a booth and put their crap in it) found a PS3 controller that looks like some one's pet made a meal of the analog sticks. Priced at an amazing $1. A very easy fix, already swapped the sticks out from a POS broken knock off PS2 controller.

Overall a pretty good day. :D

Very good pickup. That lot is worth it alone for Tales of Destiny. And Wild Arms..wow I wish had that one.

Some finds yesterday:

Goodwill
-Vectrex Art Master cart only $1 (don't know why I got it)
-Game Gear Earthworm Jim cart only $1
-Saturn Pandemonium complete $3

Gamestop
-Wii Ultimate Shooting Collection used but complete $3

Flea Market
-SNES Contra III cart only $5
-the sight of PAL Gamecube games (Resident Evil 0, 1, and 2) priceless

Probably should have picked up 2, but I think the case and cover art were ragged, and it might not have had the manual, either.

All for $31 so that averages out to $5.16. Mainly got the lot for MK2 and MegaMan X. I have SF2, SMA, and SMW already. I can finally start making a BST thread!
