I have 2600 points, but the "best item" is at 1200 (game and watch ball). Does anyone know if they are ever going to have nice stuff again, ie the GCN LE controllers, etc?
Or should I just redeem the DS games and the Game and Watch and be done with them?
What should I do with these Club Nintendo Points?

The GCN controllers were Japan-only. We probably won't get something like that for a couple years.mjmjr25 wrote:I have 2600 points, but the "best item" is at 1200 (game and watch ball). Does anyone know if they are ever going to have nice stuff again, ie the GCN LE controllers, etc?

I'd say to hold onto as many points as you can in case something cool comes out. Just don't forget that they expire.

How many points were those LE JP only GCN controllers?
Honestly, doing those surveys is pretty darn tedious. I'm tempted to get (2) game and watch ball(s), sell one and keep the other and just be done.

I like the posters. The Mario and Donkey Kong sets are the best. They look better in person because there are some things you can't see online. Mine are rolled up right now, but off the top of my head:
-The Mario and friends poster has metallic writing
-The Mario history poster has a shiny blue background
-The Donkey Kong history poster has a shiny gold background
-The NES Donkey Kong poster has a black matte background with gellish artwork that slightly pops off the poster
-The Zelda history poster has shiny silver text and borders

Thanks for the extra info! I went ahead and ordered the Zelda 3-Poster set.equalsign wrote:I like the posters. The Mario and Donkey Kong sets are the best. They look better in person because there are some things you can't see online. Mine are rolled up right now, but off the top of my head:

And thanks to the OP for reminding me I even had Nintendo Points! I also registered my copy of Metroid Prime 3 that I picked up recently for a few more points.
But the selection sucks! The best stuff isn't even all that cool. But I guess you can't really complain much since it's free.

I strongly believe the US and JP point system is different. It takes 400 pts IIRC in Japan to hit platinum so maybe that should give you scale.mjmjr25 wrote:How many points were those LE JP only GCN controllers?

Those LE GCN controllers I think were about 500pts IIRC.

A bunch of my points were expiring so I finally just got the Game & Watch Ball. It's pretty sweet.
I'm just disappointed in this years platinum prize though. I want a statue like last year, not a button set... Booo NoA! Give us cool stuff like Japan!
