Hello,
I will start playing RE series on my Wii,
I was wondering which do u prefer the Wii controls or the gamecube controls?
I wonder if the motion control would ruin the gameplay!
Do the ports support the motion control like RE1?
A question to the RE fans

I haven't played them myself, so take this with a pinch of salt, but I think the general consensus is that they're all better on Gamecube except Resident Evil 4.

Re: A question to the RE fans
The Wii version is absolutely the best of RE4. Bonus content from the PS2 and Wiimote aiming made it great for me. The motion controls I'm neutral about.

Re: A question to the RE fans
I thought this would be about tank controls on the PS1 versions. I have not played any Resident Evil on the Wii. However, I do enjoy FPS games on the Wii with the tighter control of instant aim.

use whatever you prefer.kingmohd84 wrote:so shall i use wiimote or gamecube controler for RE4?
Honestly I think I'm better at RE4 with a normal controller (I'm a ganados killing machine), but the wiimote does bring you into the game a little. I do kind of like being able to pull off the quick swipe with the knife with a jab from my hand.
Re: A question to the RE fans
As fast as some of the baddies are in Resident Evil 4 I loved the Wii motes quick aiming. It put a whole new perspective on the game for me. I actually quite playing the Gamecube version and it wasn't until I got the Wii version that I finally beat it. It made it easier for me.
I remember when they released Resident Evil Archive and I almost bought it because I thought that it would work like Resident Evil 4 with the quick aiming, but it don't, at least that is what I have read.

Re: A question to the RE fans
I prefer a controller, so the Gamecube version for me. The Wii does have a couple of good "light-gun" shooters (using your WiiMote) in the Resident Evil series, though. They're cheap, and for the price are well worth it: Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
