That's good to know some people were telling me it was only mono through those and that I would still need the seperate rca cables. That will save me some money.
Yes, if you have that cable (red, white, yellow) you will get stereo sound out of a model 2 Genesis so you're good. If you're using that RF cable you can use the Sega CDs rca jacks for stereo sound in the meantime and hook it to an external stereo or sound system.

The model 1 Genesis only has mono sound through the A/V port and the only way to get stereo from a model 1 is through the headphone jack (or through the Sega CDs rca jacks using the mixing cable method I mentioned).
What a maneuver!

Also noticed that the memory/ram on the CD still works too.

You need the Sega CD, because how else are you going to make C+C Music Factory's, Kris Kross' and Marky Mark's videos?

Interesting point (sarcasm). There is an obvious stereotype among the general public (not including people here) that dismiss the add-on completely. People must really like those FMV games because the other 75% of the library doesn't immediately come to mind.

I know, it makes me wonder what percentage of the gaming community actual takes the time to see what a console offers before they jump on the Band wagon and agree with everyone else.

So far game wise for mine I have Sonic CD, Slipheed, Ecco, NBA Jam, and Chuck Rock II. are those good games for the system?

Sonic CD was good, for sure. IMO, it was the reason to own the system when I got it. Silpheed was one I was looking at to buy, but never pulled the trigger. It looked good. I had Chuck Rock 1 (but not #2, sorry) on Sega CD, it was alright and fun enough as far as average platformers go (but not Sonic or Mario).
