I'd agree with those who suggested the 2 Mass Effect games and the new Deus Ex. I'd also suggest Lost Odyssey if you fancy a JRPG, it's one of my favourites. Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow is also really good, it has elements from God Of War and Shadow Of The Colossus, which honestly, makes this game awesome. Those 5 games will easily keep you busy for 200+ hours so you'll get your moneys worth, and they're all reduced price now as they're older releases (except Deus Ex).

seconding Mass Effect 1/2, 2 being the superior game, but you kind of need to play 1 to know what happens. The Dragon Age series is great too.

I've heard nothing but good about the new Deus Ex game, so maybe you should try that too.

I love Dragon Age, but on PC only. The console version just looks vastly inferior

Section 8
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Crackdown 1 & 2

I wanted to try Splatterhouse, actually I was anticipating its release but then heard some bad reviews that turned me off from it and I always wanted to try Section 8! These are great recommendations by the way!

The reviews for the new Splatterhouse where really unfair and I agree with the Happy Video Game Nerd... I honestly doubt any of the reviewers played the game though to the end because they all claim it's easy and a poinless button masher, which it is for the first 2 hours after all, all brawlers are... but the game is about 12 hours long and the challenge increases as your progress. Sure it's more style over substance, but if you enjoy old style beat em ups or the more reason God Of War style brawlers, you'll likely have fun, and if you're a fan of the old Splatterhouse you'll feel a nice pang of nostalgia and a little fan service (the non anime-panty version) to go along with the gameplay. It's not a AAA title, but it's a good game.

I second Mass Effect series. I'm currently going through Deus Ex and it's just a joy so far. As some others have mentioned B-Rated games I haven't gone through Deadly Premonition yet but I hear it is excellent. I LOVED Shadows of the Damned, I don't know if I'd call it a B-Rated game, but it certainly sold like one :( All in all amazing game enjoyed it thoroughly in fact it game me a BIG BONER (inside joke, play the game to get it :P)

Exactly. Give it try, you won't be disappointed!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
