I hope this is the proper forum to announce this show, if not please forgive me.
The 2011 Portland Retro Gaming Expo will be held on the weekend of September 24-25, 2011 at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland, Oregon!
What's different from last year?
Our 6th annual show will enjoy the following enhancements:
* Different weekend. For the past two years we have held the PRGE on the third weekend of September. In 2011 we have moved it out one week so as not to coincide with other events in town (like the awesome Portland Pirate Festival) and to move to a new venue that was available on that weekend.
* New venue. The 2011 PRGE will be held in the Exhibit Hall of the Portland Doubletree Hotel located in Portland's Lloyd District. The Doubletree is located just steps from the Lloyd Center MAX Light Rail station and just across the street from Holladay Park.
* More space. While we enjoyed a strong relationship with the Portland Crowne Plaza, our show has simply outgrown their facilities. In 2010 we used over 8,500 square feet of floor space spread across two rooms at the Crowne Plaza. Our decision to move to the Exhibit Hall at the Doubletree gives us access to 17,000 square feet in one contiguous room.
* More games. In 2010 our Freeplay Arcade featured more consoles and full-size arcade cabinets than ever before. Due to the immense popularity of the arcade and tournaments we have allotted even more floor space for games in 2011. PRGE is currently working with some local arcade and pinball collector groups to help us secure even more game donations. Stay tuned for more details as we firm up these plans.
We encourage you to check back with this website often as we will constantly be updating with information on the show and classic gaming in general. Look for admissions and vendor rates to be posted soon.

I'll be there too. There should be a lot more arcade games this year. The local collectors group and Ground Kontrol and some other folks are all providing machines! Me I'm mostly looking forward to filling in gaps in my Genesis collection. Its gotten harder and more expensive after I hit 400 carts.
swlovinist you have every USA Genesis title correct?

gradualmeltdown, feel free to check out my trade list. I doubt there's anything I have that you don't, but I guess it isn't impossible.

I unfortunately didn't make it this year.
Car troubles have kept me at home. I guess I'll start planning for next year.
