From what I've read there are guaranteed to be four sets of DLC for Gears 3. And from what I've seen for DLC for AAA titles each set is going to cost AT LEAST $10. So $30 for $40 worth of DLC and a new weapon skin set seems like a good deal to me.

I'm a huge fan of the Gears of War franchise so I'll most likely get the season pass since I spend a ton of time in multi-player. 8)

Instead of spending $40 for some overpriced download shit that should have been included in the original $60 game, I can spend $30 for it? Wow, what a deal! Thanks, Gears of War 3! What, you want to lube up my ass and fuck me hard? Haha, don't be silly. The lube isn't necessary. (^_^);;;;

Reading comments like this make my head hurt. I've already given up all hope for humanity but still, this is some seriously depressing shit.

Yeah I'm pretty pissed about it too. Going the Call of Duty route really chaps my ass because Gears is probably my favorite franchise this generation. Saying the purchase is optional really doesn't hold water because if you do not buy all of the expansion packs you can pretty much forget about playing multiplayer. Basically pay $60 for the single player game and bump it up to $90 if you have any interest in the multiplayer past the first month or so.

Hmm. I get you don't like DLC, but it is obvious to me that your hatred is a little over the top. Not every game that has DLC is incomplete. With the logic that I've seen you use for this, I could use the argument that Mortal Kombat is incomplete because and I should get Freddy Kreuger for free. Or that I should get all the rest of the games in _____________ series because they didn't finish the story in the first game. I could go on, but I'm just trying to say it doesn't mean the game is horrible because it has DLC. And in this case, I'm almost sure this is mainly maps, maybe one that actually adds something new.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Ya I know, if there wasnt DLC then the game would just end where it ends. For fans of the game, the devs can continue to put more out and work a bit more on the game. I have yet to play a game that was incomplete without DLC. Most of it is just mini expansion packs.
