The thing's expensive as hell to collect for. I can imagine people thinking it's not worth it.

Saturn > PS1 any day 8)
The playstation console itself isnt very impressive by any means, but holy shit its game library... If I had to get rid of all my games and could only keep 1 consoles or console genre I would pick my PS1 RPG's

...until Neo Geo.

Epic Fail.

Unless you meant CD?
Really, the Neo Geo? I don't remember anything good coming out for that thing.

Quick question, wasn't the Neo Geo CD and the Neo Geo AES basically the same thing, only one was CD, the other cartriage... they had pretty much the same library right? Only the CDs where only somewhat expensive and the cartriages cost more than your damn house.

Yeah, I only knew people who had the Neo Geo CD, but even still looking at the Wikipedia Neo Geo list I can only really see fighting games and Metal Slug... there's a couple of others, Magician Lord I remember being quite good, as was Blue's Journey, but that's not really much. Sure if you like Fighting Games, but I still say the Dreamcast has it beat for Arcade fighters.

I mean, you get what you pay for in most cases, right?

The really good stuff on N64 and PSX is pricey too.

Suikoden II, Brigandine, Tomba 1/2, Rakugaki, Gaia Seed, etc.

I'm a huge N64 fan, cut my teeth on Wave Race, Mario 64, Wailai Golf and War Gods. But as I can appreciate games now, the truth is there are mayb 15-18 must haves on that console...and if you want those in CIB / collector condition, your going to pay solid prices for those too.

For n64? Nah, not really. The most expensive games don't really go much higher than ~$60, even CIB. The only exceptions being the insanely overpriced 64DD stuff.

I'll acknowledge that the psx has its share of pricey titles, but it's also got a rather extensive library of cheaper titles, not to mention it's a LOT easier to score nice deals on local finds with psx than it is Saturn.

I never find local saturn games. Ok, never good ones, and the cases are usually smashed or non existant. I have found a few consoles and a few looses discs in a cd folder but that is about it. There are tons of NES, SNES, N64 in 'the wild' as I call it. Every now and again a good PSX collection.

^ But were talking collectors stuff for N64...Collector condition, or I thought that what was implied, the cost of collecting.

CIB - Super Bowling = $225 - 400
CIB - Worms Armageddon = $100+
CIB - Clayfighter Sculptors = last one was $560 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clay-Fighter-Sc ... 500wt_1287
CIB - Transformers, Bomberman 2nd Attack, Stunt Racer, Starcraft, ISS 2000 - all $150 and up.

That's a good portion of the must have stuff for that console.

Ok?

We've seen Earthbound and Hagane for under $3 on deals of the day. You got a good deal it looks like.

Ya, still one of my best finds is 47 NES and SNES games including Earthbound, Duck Tales 2, Super Metroid, Lemmings 2 and a few other 15-20$ carts all for the grand total of 60$.

Though, due to Storage Wars and the Pickers show, people are starting to realize what they have.
