I have had a n64 for a few month's now and i also have a gamecube. I have all the wrestling games for both systems and even though i love dor and dor 2, I can't stop playing the aki wrestling games on the 64. It is not as pretty as the gamecube games but no mercy and wcw/nwo revenge are the best wrestling games I have ever played. Yes I also played smackdown hctp but IMO the roster on no mercy and the legends on wcw/nwo revenge is awsome.
I am going to say that I also think that the mario games on the 64 is better also. If the 64 only had metroid it would be great. I love my gamecube and I own the best games for it but for some reason the 64 is keeping me up all night trying to beat zelda oot, paper mario, the aki wrestling games, f zero and my cube is collecting dust.
This keeps up I am going to sell the cube since I own all the mario sequels on the wii and prequels on the 64, so I can get some cash to get conker's

I know I went off the subject but you guys were right The 64 kicks some sweet ass and is still and now my best console. Also thank you everybody who posted if I should have kept the 64 and recommended some titles. I like the gamecube but I rather dish my money on the wii and 64. Can't wait for zelda this fall

I don't recall enjoying any wrestling titles on GCN.
N64 does have some very enjoyable games, pretty much anything by THQ. WCW/NWO World Tour / Revenge are good, Wrestlemania 2000 is also very good. Some great 4p fun for sure.
If you haven't modded your N64 yet (takes 3 minutes), there are some really good and inexpensive JP exclusives you will want to check out.

I still play it as well - and also like ratcheting up the difficulty on WCW/NWO Revenge just because of the roster. I have both Virtual Pro Wrestling titles as well. Still a lot of fun.sevin0seven wrote:WWF No Mercy (N64). that's all i got to say and I still play it to this day.n64 wrestling games vs gamecube wrestling games
Regarding the original post - I think Wrestlemania XIX is underrated on the Gamecube because the story mode is just horrible and often overshadows a great roster and very similar engine/controls to No Mercy. Ypu have to look past some terrible collision detection though.
Re: n64 wrestling games vs gamecube wrestling games
I liked the first DoR; the sequel gave new dimension to submissions (nice), but also gave lopsided stamina/spirit bars (bad). (High-fliers, whose high-risk attacks tire their spirit out faster, recover spirit slowly.)
The N64 has Wrestlemania 2000 -- a more limited, but faster-paced No Mercy. (4P bedlam is preferred on WM2000.)
