Angry Video Game Nerd smashs NWC Gold cart with Hammer

Dunno if anyone saw this but...thought you guys here would find it interesting.
I really want to know if that is a TRUE gold cart he destroyed in this video...because if so...wow.
He does bring up a good point though. It's ridiculous how high a price this game commands despite the fact it's three incomplete and otherwise common games on one cart. It's just rare.

James Rolfe owns copies of Action 52 and Cheetahmen II.
I doubt he destroyed a real one.

Yeah, I would think so. That's like burning 200,000 bucks.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was just a prop.
It belonged to the other guy in the video anyway

I'd like to mention right now that I am and have always been absurdly jealous of his game collection.

It was a zelda cart, they showed the real one intact during the credits. The gray one was a prop as well.

I'm actually OK with it, the same can be said for many other rare games like Stadium Events or fricking Bubble Bath Babes for example, they aren't great games and for a thousand bucks you could get rare games that are actually amazing like Panzer Dragoon Saga, System Shock 2, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Suikoden II, Radiant Silvergun, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, etc.

I was actually thinking about getting MVC2 for the PS2.
I would get the dreamcast version since it's apparently cheaper, but I lent my Dreamcast to a family member
Oh well. Maybe one of these days I'll ask for it back or get another.

Those guys got a lot of people's feathers ruffled when they pulled that stunt and a lot of people started flaming before they even finished watching the video. If you watch the PAX Prime panel, where they debuted the video, they discuss how they created the replicas and how they actually looked better than the real games, lol.

The Xbox or digital versions are also great.Sideroller wrote:I was actually thinking about getting MVC2 for the PS2.
