I'd be on-board for the SNES/SFC but the N64... I just can't deal with those bland textures anymore. :(

But Nintendo already deliberately made a console with graphical limitations, focussing instead on gameplay and accessibility.

I'm guessing money is a big reason why they don't do this. Why risk losing all this money if there is no demand? If we somehow could let these companies know how bad we want to play our nintendo or saturn then maybe they will get the hint and make some sort of market for us!

Technology does not have much to do with gameplay quality. After all, through many generations of changing technology companies still made good games. I think the real problem is companies recent changes in attitude.

They sell a console just like that in China. Legit Nintendo and all.

I've always wanted to see this happen as well. Last-gen our before were our best bets. Now that online networks like XBox Live, Playstation Network, and WiiWare are out there, it'll never happen, unfortunately. They will just release them through those networks instead because it's far more lucrative. Of course there are still indie releases on cartridge, but I've wanted to see this coming from real game development companies like Konami, Capcom, Tecmo, and others.

Again, the lucrative part really takes the cake. That's why we have to look at groups like Super Fighter and Nightmare Busters.
