Virtua Fighter 4 wasn't low-profile.. Hell it was a popular game for the Evo event.. And very popular amongst pro gamers in Japan..

Haha, I knooooooow. I meant like, when Sega had all of those high-profile releases that had started (and in a few cases practically been finished) on the Dreamcast that they farmed out to other consoles, I wish they'd offered the same games in Dreamcast versions through Sega Direct (i.e. a "low-profile release") or something... just because it would have been nice to play Virtua Fighter 4 on its original console.

3rd Strike is fine so are the other Street Fighters,Soul Calibur seemed a single button bashing game to me but i like its looks lol

Soulcalibur! The legend will never die!

Word, the soul still burns. Soul Calibur is my favorite 3D fighter. I used to play that game for hours upon hours with friends. So many memories of buddies sitting around in a living room, passing the controllers back and forth and picking our favorite characters or choosing our alternates to go head to head with one another. Soul Calibur is the game where I got my longest survival streak of any fighter. 92 rounds. My parents made me quit to eat dinner. I was so mad...

Great times.

A couple stories, one of each similar to yours:

-Soul Calibur is one of the few games my non-hardcore gaming friends really got into without me pushing it on them. A few of us passed out at a buddy's house where I had brought the DC over just for fun. When I woke up this punk rock/leather jacket kid who I never figured for a big gamer was playing it all morning. Another friend of mine who never played fighters was obsessed with it. Which leads me to.....

-One time he and I were playing Versus mode for hours. A friend who was just stopping by to pick us up to go somewhere entered. He ended up sitting there for at least an hour or two because we decided when he walked in to play first to 50 wings before we left to go out for the night. It was epic, and I believe I won by a very narrow margin.
