Persona 4 Portable and Persona Fighting Game Announced!

But, all of this raises another question. A couple months ago, Nintendo released a list of upcoming franchises coming to the 3DS, and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona was listed. Was it a cancelled title, or something still in development. If it is the latter, then what could that possibly mean? All of the games in the series are now on portable systems, so that leaves the possibilities of either Persona 5 being on the 3DS, which I find highly unlikely, or a gaiden from the main series (wow, a spin-off of a spin-off... ).

I think I'm most excited to see a Persona title finally land on PS3/360. Catherine certainly proved that the dev team knew how to handle the HD consoles, so I'm expecting something pretty amazing.

Is it just me, or does Mary look really out of place for Persona 4? The character designs for the game are pretty conservative with everyone else, but Mary looks like she was taken right out of a Square Enix game.

Are the Persona Portable games out of print already? New copies of P3P are rare and P1 are even rarer. I'll be picking up P3P at work today (payday and employee discount, boosh) and P1 will be next. I'll probably reserve P2 also. Real excited to play that one.
