So, anyone know something about this game? I have not heard anything about it other than it's going to allow cross-platform online play and that automatic weapons have a lot of recoil.
Any opinions or comments?
I think that the worst thing they can have is pad players with mouse players in the same network, this is a headshotting game and console players are going to get destroyed.

Maybe this will teach them to play with the right equipment.General_Norris wrote:I think that the worst thing they can have is pad players with mouse players in the same network, this is a headshotting game and console players are going to get destroyed.
Actually I've never cared for CS much. By the time I tried it, there were too many people that had everything memorized from playing it 26 hours a day and it just didn't click with me.

I feel the exact same way about Team Fortress 2. It is so unwelcoming to newcomers. You could probably say the same about a long of long-running online games, but geez. It seems the entire TF2 community wants nothing except for you to leave.Hobie-wan wrote:Actually I've never cared for CS much. Really? Because at least in the servers I play on newbies are welcome with open arms and everyone helps them out. I expected something horrible when TF2 went F2P but the truth is that everyone acted very nice and saw it as a way to expand the community.irixith wrote:I feel the exact same way about Team Fortress 2. I think it looks really whatever to be honest. Like, what's the point? The crosshair is horrendous and the new character skins and art direction looks nasty.
Luckily I'm not a big fan anyways, but this just doesn't look interesting one bit.

Re: Counter-Strike: Go
It depends on the server/community. I play with a lot of enthusiasts that totally crush any noobs that happen upon the server, but, they at least try to be helpful and give out some tips here and there.General_Norris wrote:Really? Hell yes. I never understood all the whining about putting kb&m support into a console game and mixing players between platforms. If you can't hang with the kb&m players stick to the pad only servers or pick up a keyboard and mouse yourself.Hobie-wan wrote:Maybe this will teach them to play with the right equipment.General_Norris wrote:I think that the worst thing they can have is pad players with mouse players in the same network, this is a headshotting game and console players are going to get destroyed.
The PS3 version of CS:GO will allow keyboard and mouse play so people have no excuses.

Re: Counter-Strike: Go
Counter-strike is a great flash drive game. Last year at my high school we had a huge lobby going. We had all the tech classes running the game because there were tons of subs in that day. I would never buy or play Counter-Strike at my house, but it is a great game for school.

I used to love Counter-Strike. I played the hell out of 1.6. I'm probably crap nowadays, but I'm still anticipating it. I see it as an opportunity to get onboard.

Apparently Monday Night Combat was able to work around it pretty well. I wouldn't worry too much about that for right now.General_Norris wrote: I think that the worst thing they can have is pad players with mouse players in the same network, this is a headshotting game and console players are going to get destroyed.
