I'd like to make this opportunity to mention a certain local Industrial Metal band: CIRCUS OF DEAD SQUIRRELS! Check them out! They're funny AND evil, it's absolutely charming.

I listened to Age of Winters and liked it. The song I really loved was Iron Swan. :D

Iron Swan is good! Age of Winters is a strong album. Recently I picked up Gods of the Earth and wasn't as crazy for it. It still has some awesome moments.

I was skeptical about Warp Riders when it came out - but the more I've been listening to it the more I think it's their strongest album yet.

I hardly ever see this topic come up anymore

I haven't listened to much metal lately, but I just started listening to Leaves' Eyes latest album Meredead. I'm also still pulling up Kvelertak and Blood Ceremony regularly on my ipod and I'm actually starting to finally dig some High on Fire songs

I stumbled upon Split Heaven recently, from Mexico! Nice old school stuff.

Wow, Meredead is more diverse than other Leaves' Eyes albums. I think the band is hitting its prime. This is the best stuff they've put out

Leaves' Eyes? I remember hearing Vinland Saga from them YEARS ago. Heh.

I would say Theater of Tragedy is the better band, but outside of maybe a bit of My Dying Bride I've never been too into the whole Gothic Metal thing anyhow.

Metal heads... I need some new material here. I'm mainly into Japanese rock/metal and Death metal. Instrumental stuff is fine. Any suggestions?

You heard Sigh?

They're a japanese avant-garde black metal band. And by 'black metal' I should mention they take most of their influence from first wave stuff like King Diamond and Venom. And there's lots of 70s synthesizers.

One of my favorite bands all around.

Amon Amarth. I don't listen to much metal, but I also listen to Lamb of God, August Burns Red, and a couple others. Yeah, I guess some one might say mainstream, but it has to be good to get mainstream 8)
