Guile is a truer American! He's in the armed forces and he has a tattoo of the American flag...ON BOTH ARMS!

Zero

He's a badass fighter who seemingly has mastery over all forms of combat yet favors melee combat like a real man....er....robot. He's a great friend who puts his life on the line for Mega Man X repeatedly. He always gets the most badass theme music in every Mega Man X game. Also, he has a

Cue Dr. Evil voice

FREAKING LIGHT SABRE!!!

I like his character design too in the original MM X series. The long, flowing hair always struck me as looking sort of like a super hero cape. I know some people hated the hair, but I dug it. I also love that Zero is always focused, calm, cool and collected. He never shows fear, never freaks out and never gets as emotionally conflicted and whiny as X. Not that I dislike X mind you. Oh, and one more reason he's awesome:

When I first played MMX I thought Zero was a girl.

Simon Belmont - He's killed:
- A vampire that cannot be killed
- zombies
- Franken-fucken-stein with Igor at the same time!
- Death itself....
all in the same damn game - BEFORE battery backups and save states..

Guile's pretty badass, but as far as admiration goes there's only one game hero in my book...

For me, it was Alucard. He takes the "sins of the father" very seriously, and is willing to commit patricide to right the wrongs of his family, and to let his family of the Belmonts live in peace, along with the rest of the world.
