Eh, I think the Sega CD is pretty legit compared to other consoles out there, especially say I dunno ... the 32x.

it definitely had its fair share of underwhelming titles, but there were also a decent amount of above average games that were overlooked by many.

btw, has anyone played Star Wars Chess on sega CD? is it worth picking up?

I'm not sure if that's a serious suggestion or a joke just because he's Frank Dux.

I've never heard of a Sega CD (or any other system) game with that name.

I'm just overly excited that Frank Dux is a member here! I wonder if Mr. Dux feels that JCVD did him justice in the movie?

As for the topic, I think pretty much all of the top games that fit Mr. Dux's criteria have been mentioned.

Popful Mail is my number one recommendation. It's a side-scrolling game with adventure/RPG elements. I think it's one of the most fun games on the Sega CD and the fact that it's filled with lots of (silly) dialog make the whole experience a blast to play. I think it's fairly linear but is a great action-adventure title regardless.

I would also highly recommend both Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time, assuming you don't already have them for Genesis. They're really fun, though tough games filled with exploration and puzzles. (They're also a lot more manly than you would expect for a game about dolphins.)
