Will GBA Link Cables work with other Game Boy's?

I've got a few friends with Game Boy Colors, and we're all gonna try getting into multiplayer. If I wanted to have 4-way multiplayer with a game like Wave Race, would I be able to use the Nintendo brand GBA link cable to daisy chain 4 people? All the Game Boys (except the Micro) use the same link port, so I imagine it would work.

you need a Universal link cable, IIRC.

Nintendo did not release a Pocket/GBC era 4 player adapter. You need to use the original, with converter cables because its link ports are first model GB shape.

I think official ones work best. I have some 3rd party link cables that dont work very well.

These are if you use Gameboy advance cables.

there are different types for the original Gameboy and the Pocket.

Some official nintendo cables already come with the adapter with it. Its just separating the bigger jack from the smaller one.

Also get the cable with the four way jack or the pass thru.
