so what are you and Mike gonna do? You both already own the regular edition. Personally, I'd rather own a physical release if I have the option. But I'd also be pissed if I bought NBA Jam and then you both just started playing On Fire instead.

As far as I know this On Fire Edition is a stand alone game. I see no reason to ever buy the shitty original from this gen.

well the on fire edition is not a physical copy, but the one Mike and i are playing right now is. i'm sure Mike won't mind upgrading to fire edition via PSN. we are having a blast with the first one actually.

maybe I'm confused.

I guess my question is -- if I get the standard NBA Jam, will you guys still be playing that, or will you be on to On Fire instead?

AND is On Fire a standalone PSN release, or is it just DLC add-on for the standard edition?

if you get the standard NBA Jam, Mike and i will still play with you of course. so no worries there.

As for On Fire edition. it is a stand alone PSN/XBLA release now. there were too many changes to be just an add-on.
