Finally! someone who recognizes it! I'm surprised no one ever says a thing about it! not even the people who are giving reviews of this awesome game.

It's so creepy that it makes you want Sonic to win even harder

Well it probably goes without saying. I think the boss themes are weirdly pretty damn creepy for Sonic too (kids crying in the background? haha). Even the Japanese songs for the tracks are pretty weird too.

Yes, the Japanese boss fight music did. That was the weirdest, most awesome Sonic boss music ever! I love the part where Dr. Robotnick starts praising himself in the song.

For all those who have played Sonic CD, I wonder why no one has ever commented on Dr. Eggman's awesome belly laugh, especially at the end when Sonic dies and runs out of lives, Dr. Eggman and Metal Sonic start laughing making the creepiest villain laugh after but it's still awesome!

Definitely one of the most haunting game over themes ever.

You guys actually found a way to die in Sonic CD?

The boss music, however, is very memorable. Robotnik's/Eggman's laugh at the beginning then the sound of someone weeping in the background of techno infused music makes for great boss battle music, even if it is repeated.

Or I've just heard it by listening to the soundtrack for a dozen or so years.
(gotta love that "Annoying Noise" track at the beginning too which is literally named that in some downloaded OST rips that I've got, lol).

Y'know, after quitting coffee for 3 months and then trying to get back into a couple cups o' joe a day, my body seems to genuinely dislike it. Hmph.
