GC controller has 2 extra buttons, x and y.

For the sake of having a joystick that doesn't die. N64 joysticks are infamous for being worn down into nothing.BoringSupreez wrote:I would think people would want to use the N64 controller on the GCN, not the other way around.
The real question is: Do wavebirds work on it?scarper wrote:I'm not 100% sure if this is legit, but I stumbled upon this while searching for a Saturn port to usb adapter solution:

If this is real, which it seems to be, then holy shit!! FINALLY!!!
I think the real question is, how would you save the game? Would have to have a second N64 controller at hand I guess and constantly plugging in and out the GC controller... But otherwise I would love to use my GC controller to play Wave Race 64!AppleQueso wrote:The real question is: Do wavebirds work on it?scarper wrote:I'm not 100% sure if this is legit, but I stumbled upon this while searching for a Saturn port to usb adapter solution:

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Good point. Quite a few games saved to controller pack only. I wonder if you could have the N64 controller plugged into controller port 2 and have it still see the controller pack to save to?Xeoloux wrote:I think the real question is, how would you save the game? be sure to try it with a wavebird if you have one. They tend to not work with most converters.BurningDoom wrote:This is absolutely amazing news for me!!! My biggest complaint about N64 is the torture device they call a controller. Next paycheck, this bad-boy is mine. I'll let you guys know how well it actually works.
