Sonic spoke at least one word in Sonic CD
Wait, did he really? I just played thru it not too long ago (albeit bad ending) - what does he say?

He also says "I'm outta here!" if you let yourself get a Time Over in a level.
Rather than dying like in the genesis games, he gets impatient and leaves.

Yep!
Although, I went to look for a video to link and discovered I was wrong about the circumstances (memory's failing it seems). You have to leave him sitting for 3 minutes, and if you do it it causes a game over. I guess Sonic gets really pissed about it all.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48_S5WpHIXE&feature=related He only has one life in this video (which I picked for the music) but if you watch others, he'll immediately go from 3 lives to 0.
You can hear the line though.

That doesn't stop it from being one of the greatest sonic games.
Why did Kevin Flynn blare Journey so loud in his arcade? Was he trying to hear it from the grid?

Sonic 3 and Knuckles is my personal favorite Sonic game ever. I just randomly decided to play as Sonic only recently (normally I play as Sonic & Tails). I caught myself missing Tails.

That's a hack that I'd love to have on a cartridge.
There's one for Knuckles in Sonic 1 as well, and my feeling on that is the same.

Sonic Megamix will let you play Sonic 1 as Tails, Knuckles, Shadow,or Mighty, and you don't need a cartridge, a flash kit, or a modded console!
