Tails
Re: Tails
Yeah, I guess I'm the same way. I enjoyed Sonic Adventure 2 as a teenager, but I'm not sure it would do much for me now. All the other modern sonic stuff makes me roll my eyes.

The trick to enjoying the Adventure games when you're older than 14 is to skip all the cutscenes. The games themseves are fun, but man, they have such lame stories and characters!

Re: Tails
I could care less about him. He's fun in moderation.
When I was a kid I had a hard time doing those bonus stages and seeinig that I was one ring short of the chaos emerald.
Tails had some rings, but lost them.
So in sonic 2, I prefered "sonic only"
But now a few years later, I now play with Tails anyways. If I'm not good enough now with tails, then why am I playing the game?

Re: Tails
Tails is cool in my book - well, back in the days when neither spoke a damn word.

Awesomely big for a reason

Tails is my favorite; I play Sonic games with Tails alone most of the time.

Re: Tails
I think it is the principle, Tails must be part of my Sonic 2 experience. Watching that little guy die and try to keep up on every level is part of the experience.

You should try Sonic Colors
Anyways, I don't hate Tails, and sometimes I'll leave him on while playing Sonic 2. However, most of the time I turn him off and I've never beaten a Sonic game with him.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Tails
I don't hate Tails the character, but I always turn him off when I'm playing as Sonic since it feels like he gets in the way AND he's a handicap really. Hitting the bosses along with you sometimes, etc. I'd rather do it solo with Sonic, heh.
Plus, Tails makes the Sonic special stages in 2 impossible. RAGE!
