I used Brasso to clean my Gameboy Screen, and it's scratched

As a last resort you could try wet sanding with high grit sandpaper (start at about 1000 and work your way up to 2000). Even then you would have to be very even and it would take quite a while to achieve. Probably cheaper to just get the replacement screen above.

I got a replacement screen and it was scratched when I got it, that's why I used Brasso.

Then you should have queried the seller and got a screen without a scratch instead of making the problem worse.

Last one in stock I'll get one on eBay for three bucks. But I really just want to wipe it off with something I can get in stores. They're all grooves by the way. But there's so many!

Thanks for posting and putting your oops on the spot. You may prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Where ever you read about using Brasso on Plastic, maybe you could submit a feedback there?

The screen might be saved though, use polish for taking scratches out of discs.
Not the coarse stuff for Disc Doctor, but hand applied Plastic Polish.

Here is my experience with Displex on my PSP screen:


The end result is that the scratch is gone to the naked eye, but under light, you can now see the hollowed out 'bowl' on the screen. The PSP looked great with the screen on, but it bugged me enough to justify the upgrade to the 2000 series when it came out. Screen protectors, all the time, from that point on.
