i saw an ER doctor googling treatment for one of his patients. i'm glad i wasn't the patient being treated.

Yeah, I'd have an issue with that.

I don't. What's important is how the ER doctor interprets/uses the info. I use google all the time personally/professionally.

It's a skill like knowing how to use a dictionary or some other reference book.

My friend commented to me the other day that TVs are being built with browsers, etc and why do we even need a HTPC? I pointed out to him that these appliances will never approach the level of features/robustness that is offered by HPTC Mac/Windows. Plus, they're not updated as frequently and they do not have the same level of expertise in those areas.

It's actually not weird. Doctors and nurses consult other sources all the time. The human body is really complex and not every situation or treatment is encountered every day - there's nothing wrong with double checking before you do something.

It's kind of strange that the DSi XL, which is only as powerful as an N64, costs more than a PS2, 3DS, or Wii, all of which are much more powerful. There must be a huge profit margin on that thing.
