What is this Nyko Playstation thing?

SXJRFHD2TO1, by Nyko, is the wireless plug-in adapter for up to 4 wireless gamepad controllers, (ITEM # 81585) for Playstation 2.
A question of long ago I realize, however, since I didn't see an answer...

Heh, I'd forgotten about this thing. I suppose I should pull it out and toss it on my sale pile in case someone has found controllers but has no receiver.

I actually saw that a few months ago at a goodwill, it maybe used for PlayStation Wheel controller, but not sure. The price was $25 with with the steering wheel, which I did not want. the adapter looked cool.
