1997 Nintendo Taco Bell toy dilemma

Post by Nintendork666 »

I've FINALLY obtained a '97 StarFox 64 Taco Bell toy that I had lost long ago. It's likely my new most-prized piece of my collection. The only problem is that it's still in its original plastic. The nerdy collector, and inner child within me are duking it out over whether I should open it or not.

WHAT SAY YOU? / ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER THESE?

If you'll play with it, open it. If you're just gonna be looking at it, leave the plastic on.

I can't even see the toy
Just like any video game, open and play to truly enjoy it. You are not going to retire selling it later, so just cut the bag at one side to keep the writing intact.

Honestly, I'm just a little fearful of breaking it while playing it. I'm pretty sure that's what happened to my last one... and it took FOREVER for this thing to pop up on eBay.

There is some perforation on the top. I think that would be a good place to cut. Keeping th bag intact is a must.

Opened the packaging very carefully; this thing is not nearly as much fun as I remember it being.

CRT: Here is the best pic I could find online.

Image

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: Star Fox 64 Shootout: Fly into battle with Star Fox. Squeeze the trigger to fire the glow balls into the target baskets. Turn the game upside down to release the balls and play again.

Basically, the handle is hollow and inside are 3 yellow plastic balls. You squeeze the handle/trigger and the balls pop up. Also on the handle are 3 little cups for you to land the balls into. You see the action through a mirror at the end of the "cockpit".

Glad you opened it, thanks for the info. Now I wanna one!

Wow I had the Star Fox one...wonder where that went. Probably hanging with my missing Happy Meal toy Tails.

I still have that Mario 64 Puzzle though, have it sitting right next to my N64.

Fast food trinkets usually are like that.

This being said. I have the bi-pyramid maze thing where you navigate a silver ball. Not a lot of fun either.
