If you have version 1.0-1.5, I will be happy to TSOP flash it for you. Just pay shipping both ways and all I would need is the MOBO and Original HDD.
This way you wont have to mess with softmods or having to lock the HDD, Plus you will be able to use a 2TB using a SATA2IDE adapter.

That does sound intriguing. What is the TSOP mod? Also would I just be able to reformat the 500gb on my original computer and then put it into the xbox and have a TSOP flashed xbox format the new HDD?

TSOP is where the official BIOS is stored, you can re-flash it with a Custom BIOS.
I have a 1.0 with Dual BIOS, one of them is the VGA BIOS.
It has a 2TB HDD and 128MB of RAM

Well what does changing the BIOs do other than allowing me to use a bigger HDD? You mentioned something about not having to mess around with softmods anymore. How does the softmod help accomplish that?

Once you have a custom BIOS you can drop any unformatted HardDrive on the Xbox.
Then all you only need to use is Auto Installer Deluxe DVD or Slayer DVD to format and re-build the new HardDrive.
Once that is done you can FTP all apps, emus, dashboards, music, games, videos to the xbox.
You also don't need to lock the HDD, this mean you don't need to worry about misplacing the eeprom.
If the xbox ever brakes, then you can just swap the HDD to another Xbox that is chipped or TSOP flashed.

I ended up fixing it on my own after doing some more research. Found the HDDkey document and all that stuff. Thanks for the help.
