It seems Nintendo has the right idea about how DLC should be. It should be the resurrection of the old PC expansion pack (Master levels for Doom 2, Conquerors for Age of Empires 2 etc.)
While they may not be able to control how 3rd parties use the DLC system. It seems Nintendo is a little more consumer friendly.
