Well, since you seem to be pretty serious about your Dreamcast collection. Here's a few imports you should look into...

- L.O.L. (Lack of Love)
- Cosmic Smash
- Headhunter
- Rez

There's always a few The Lost Golems for sale. The game is pretty rare, but only popular amongst die hard collectors. So the demand for this game is very low. A boxed Eldorado Gate collection on the other hand only pops up once or twice a year if you're lucky, and will set you back quite a bit. They are -just like any other RPG- unplayable though if you don't speak Japanese. So again for die hard collectors only unless you speak Japanese...

Here's a nice review for Lack of Love: L.O.L.

The PAL version of REZ and Cosmic Smash are on my to buy list.

Cosmic Smash looks especially awesome. I love futuristic sports games!

Chill...

You can find it for around 250 bucks more or less when it pops up. Comes in a dark green box...

The rarest Dreamcast game must be the PAL Flintstones Viva Rock Vegas promo white label though. As far as I know they made less than 200 of them. Possibly only between 50 and 100. Can't be sure. Anyways, it's the Holy Grail of my DC collection, even if it's a shitty game...

Oh, and do check out the L.O.L. review link in my edited previous post...

Nope! Proudly were your Sonic the Hedgehog shirt to the gym with your head held high!
I think gaming in general really peaked with the Dreamcast. That is not to say that it's all bad today but I think it hasn't gotten any better since.
Peaked in 1997 when Castlevania: Symphony of the Night came out. ;)
As for other retro consoles I own...well, I do own a Sega Nomad, Sony Playstation 1, Sega Saturn, and Nitnendo 64 but my collection for all are all pretty meager. I do have a few gems for the PS1 like many Working Designs games(LOVE WORKING DESIGNS), and some rare shoot em ups but it pales in comparison to my Dreamcast collection.
You have just said the two magic words. Your previous arrogance is now forgiven (by me)! Since you also have a Saturn, that gets you a few more points. You'll, of course, need to get a 2600, NES, SNES, Master System, actual Genesis (although the Nomad is cool), Sega CD (Working Designs!!! Lunar!!!), Turbografx-16 w/ Super CD OR PC Engine w/Super CD (Working Designs!!!), and Neo Geo of some sort. :)

There are actually some members here with all (or nearly all) of the Working Designs collections, believe it or not. One of them sold some of his stuff to get more into arcade gaming, but I think he still has all of his Working Designs stuff.
I want to get that new Genesis RPG Pier Solar but I heard it's for the CD and I only have a Nomad. I want it so badly I'll buy a Sega CDX for it just as soon as I have the money.
Pier Solar is a cart game. The CD just enhances the soundtrack. You don't need a Sega CD at all to enjoy it! I have an original release copy, but I really can't sell it. I've only opened it once to test it. I'd kind of like another, a re-release version, to play on. Unfortunately, the only way to get a copy now is by searching the internet. Every now and then, a copy turns up on this site... but you aren't the only one here looking for a copy. Other sites like digitpress and Sega-16 sometimes have copies turn up in their B/S/T forums. Unfortunately, they are not cheap.
I had a Sega-CD back in the day and I LOVED Lunar and Lunar 2:Eternal Blue and Pier Solar looks a lot like those games!
You aren't the only one to love Lunar! I had the Sega CD games back in the day also, and they are still among my favourite RPGs. To be honest, part of the reason I haven't gotten into Pier Solar yet is because I'm just too busy now with life.

...and, just to be a bastard and tease you... this is mine (and will work just fine on a Nomad without the CD):

However, I do not own a legit version of Border Down.

Only 250 bucks? NOT BAD! Also that LOL game looks incredibly unique and fun.

I thought Viva Rock Vegas was never even released. *EDIT*

OMG! The packaging of Pier Solar just made me SPLLOOOOOGGEEE!

Next paycheck cannot come soon enough. SCREW AIR CONDITIONING! I'll play it in the bathtub submerged in ice if I must!

I really need to begin my Saturn Collection. There are so many games I want for it like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Magic Knight Rayearth, Shining Wisdom, Dragon Froce, Shining Force III, Burning Rangers and the list goes on and on!

Does anyone know if I can still buy Pier Solar new? If I have to buy it on Ebay I must but I would like to support the team who made this game with my hard earned cash. Oh wait, nevermind just read your post...DAMMIT! EBAY it is!

That is the original packaging. Only 800 were made like that, and many were given to those involved in the game. Less than 800 were actually sold. The redone packaging was sold in a regular clamshell case and is still very nice. The Happy Console Gamer has a video of it on YouTube.

Unfortunately, Pier Solar is completely sold out. I appreciate you wanting to support me, though (I was NOWHERE near heavily involved in the making of it, just had a VERY small part. It is awesome seeing your name in the credits in the game, though! hehe). ;) Seriously, if you can't find it on eBay, it DOES turn up here and in some of the other sites I mentioned sometimes.

As for Saturn collection, a lot of the time games that were released in multiple regions are quite a bit cheaper in Japan. Get yourself a Pro Action Replay 4-in-1 cartridge and you can play imports easily. They are sold here at the Racketboy shore. So are Saturn modchips. If you have a model 2 Saturn (round buttons), it is pretty easy to install them. There are only 4 soldering points if I remember correctly. Then you can try before you buy.

Dammit. I am so very curious about the art booklet that came with it. I really want to see the creative process from storyboard to production.
(I openly admit I have an addiction to art books/mooks. I still have it because it hasn't killed me yet.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Artbook?

I don't know, maybe ask around at the Eidolon's Inn forum. They'd know over there. Some of the guys at Assemblergames (Fonzie especially, since he's behind the whole thing, but you can also find him at Eidolon's), also know quite a bit.

The book that is with it is the manual. It IS a great manual, though!

Damn, you're making me want to play the game! I mean, I have read the dialogue in the story, but that's not exactly the same as playing the game.
