Boy! That game was GOOD!

Post by RCBH928 »

On the opposite of my other thread, about visiting games again and finding they are lame
This thread is about games you replayed form your past and discovered they are really good,
meet or surpassed your expectations!

Sonic for the sega genesis is unbelievably good! Other than hardware limitations for graphics back then, this game is pretty solid. As a matter of fact, even with the hardware limitations this game still looks colorful and fantastic!

the original Super Mario Bros. is exactly as I remember it, even though I am amazed by how much plain the background is and how much empty space exists vertically, but its the game and its just as good as it ever was.

why is it called Bros. anyway?

Way too many to list so I'll just mention the most recently played game that fits this category: Herzog Zwei. That game never gets old. When you battle a friend that really knows how to play then one game can last a really long time.

I rented Super Mario RPG as a kid, and couldn't figure out my way around the maps, so I gave up. My reactions now should be obvious. ;)

You would have to know the game that preceded it. Then you would know that there are two brothers, Mario Mario and Luigi Mario. Luigi is who the second player controls in a two player game of Super Mario Bros.

The more you know.

As far as I know nintendo has not officially said that their last name is Mario.

Am I the only one who's surprised he didn't know about Luigi?

That seems impossible to me.

Haha, yeah. I'll never forget his awesome original colors too.

Hahaha.

It was used in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show before that awful movie. It used to be posted on NoE's Mario Megasite as well, but I don't believe that's up any more. Unless anyone specifically says otherwise, it's all we've got. :P

I really like the graphics of the original four Sonics, especially 3 and Knux.

Metroid

When I was younger the game just confused me and I hated not knowing where to go and what to do, I played it through last year and damn that bitch holds up so well today.

Zelda on the NES for the same reason actually, thinking back I never really enjoyed the game when I was younger.
