Eating isn't the problem per se. Doing "work" (harvesting produce, cooking, etc.) in order to be able to eat is problematic per the letter of the law, however. Also, Sabbath is not necessarily on Sunday. Jews and some Christians observe the Sabbath on Saturday.vlame wrote:whut? you can't eat on sunday?

If it gets really in depth, perhaps a distinction between the Law of God, Jewish Civil Law and Jewish Ceremonial Law needs to be discussed (or at least Google-ed by those wondering how Christians can do stuff on Sunday or make love to their wife while she's on the reg without being thrown out of their city!).flamepanther wrote:Eating isn't the problem per se. The nit-picky stuff of Jewish Ceremonial Law was all fulfilled with Christ, and therefore not needed to be followed today (ie. animal sacrifice, woman on their period being "unclean", circumcision, not eating certain animals, etc.). Jewish Civil Law is distinctly Jewish. God's Law was fulfilled in Christ also, but of course it still needs to be followed (thou shall not murder, thou shall not steal, thou shall not commit adultery, etc.).
Thou shalt not feel guilty about buying and playing Tengen NES games.
