What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Didn't you already mention that earlier? Anyway, yes, indeed you can. ;)
I added I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream because it deserves to be mentioned it another post  .
Tell you what; once I get the system in my hands, I will test them out for you. But, I think I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream runs on Scumm, it should run in the native port of ScummVM.

Actually I couldn't get it to run on ScummVM, I had to use DosBox. Don't ask me why it didn't work :? .

It can be an opportunity to amaze people with a simple trick. When a fly lands somewhere, you can kill it by putting your two hands above the fly and clap once. The fly will sense the two hands coming together and jump straight up, right between the two hands. Works every single time.

Pissed: Online application programs are complete ass. Earlier had one just simply time out on me and give me an "Application Error", it must be common for the damn site because it then had an extensive set of instructions to follow in emailing some help/support a bunch of information and whatnot, so I did that.

Then I noticed several places I was applying for used this same site/system that I had a built in profile for already with forms filled out and all... so I was like awesome, I can just quickly zoom through this for 5 or so new applications, then I noticed a bunch of errors from the system automatically failing to pull information from my uploaded resume or something. So I had to go back and edit 5 or so applications fixing up tons of errors. What a headache. Probably saved a little time instead of doing it all from scratch, but still.

Maybe I should get back into programming and make a damn system that works for this sort of thing. :x

Smile: Sold four Bethesda console games (Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Cthulhu) for $20 more than what I spent on the Quakecon Steam pack (which included all of Bethesda's and iD's catalog :) (thanks BST buyers - your games will go out tomorrow!)

Ticked: two days of rain means I have to wait until a weekday to cut the grass :(

Really? I'm so happy for all the rain we've received in NC. First off, it's like free water utility; I don't have to spend another $50 watering my yard? Awesome.

Secondly, I get to enjoy my weekend without having to mow, trim, and edge my yard. Think I can make it another week too without having to, but will have some weed pulling to do.

Smile: Finally found a reasonably-priced C64 disc drive online! It should arrive in a matter of days.

Facepalm: My local favorite retro game store got some new people in about 2 months ago, and I was looking around for the off-chance they would have some Commodore 64 cartridge games that I could play on the computer while waiting for the drive to arrive. The conversation went like this:
Me: So, you wouldn't happen to have any Commodore 64 games, would you?
New Guy: (Looks around nervously) Uh, what system is that for?
Me: ...The... Commodore 64.
New Guy: Our Nintendo 64 games are in that cabinet.
Me: No, I said Commodore 64. You know, the famous home computer from the 80's?
New Guy: (Points to same cabinet) This cabinet says it has Nintendo 64 games in it.
Me: [Walks out without saying anything].

Really?

I'll have to try that sometime.

Smile: For a second I thought the cute girl ringing up my purchase at Target was smiling at me flirtatiously.

Frown: Then I realized it was because she was amused / perplexed by my purchase: Extra strength Advil, a frozen pizza, and a jar of maximum strength powdered laxative.

Outcome: I couldn't think of any kind of suave way to convey the context of this purchase to her so, I dunno guys, I just don't think she and I are going to make it.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
