Wii CMOS battery wont open, Used the small screw driver to open it, but can't. Willing to drillbit the console tonight, I hate wii for making stuff hard to open, I even have the triwing screww driver,, but can't get this wii cmos battery to nudge. its getting worse.

Tried a knife to open it, but the screw won't budge.

Did you get ALL the screws that hold it in?

If I remember right, there's one holding the cover on, one holding it on the side, and a final one that holds the removable piece that the battery is housed in.

Yes, I was following a youtube on how to open the wii, but the battery cover is the main issue.

Good news everyone.
Okay the worst is over now. my wii is now saved for now. I did not drill bit the console, maybe someday.

The story, is sd card went into my wii console eventhough it was off. i wasn't looking when i inserted sd card into the console. it was too late to get out sd card out of the disc drive. I didn't expect this to happen. I bought the tri wing online for cheap. I search Home depot, gamestop, an old electrician that use to repair consoles, he has the nintendo repair station. Nintendo doesn't give any repair things to these electricians shops.

So I able tonight to get the top cover at least off and pry open the disc drive with a thin nife so that I could get it out. The console still works.

What was the point of changing the subject to "closed"? You could have renamed it to "Wii CMOS battery wont open - RESOLVED".
