I Have Two Identical MK1 SNES Carts & One is Heavier?

Post by darthmunky »

I've had Mortal Kombat 1 on SNES for many many years now and my brother recently bought a copy for his own collection and just for the heck of it, I decided to compare his to mine, They are the exact same except for one thing, Mine is heavier. I gave them both to 5 different people without telling them which one was which and all of them said that mine felt heavier so now I know it's not just me. My question is: How & why?

I couldn't guess, but that's interesting. And kind of odd.

Pop'em open and find out. :)

Perhaps one was manufactured later than the other, and they changed how they built the cart a bit?

Definitely possible as that's a game that probably had a few reprints.
